CTF essentials
Find evidence, recognise a flag, search instead of scroll, and keep notes.
A capture-the-flag challenge hides a specific answer in an artifact or a small system. Here, flags use flag{...}. Read the brief, inspect the evidence, form a hypothesis, and test it. Distinguish relevant evidence from decoys, search large files instead of scrolling, and write down what you have tried. Real competitions define their own permitted targets and rules; these exercises use only the supplied training artifacts.
